“We don’t need to keep an eye on Evercrest Group for now.” After hanging up, Stephen turned to Mina.

Mina couldn’t quite understand. If Sean Quinn truly was behind all this, then the ambitions of the Quinn family were no less than what Tyrone had once shown. Why not take this chance to get rid of Sean Quinn too?

“Dad, Sean Quinn seems quiet on the surface, but he’s secretly built Evercrest Group from scratch and shifted his focus completely from Harboridge to Seaview City. He’s cutting into our territory. Stephen snorted, sinking into the couch. “You’re oversimplifying things. It’s not that I’m doing nothing, it’s just that…”

He looked at Mina with a meaningful smile, leaving the rest unsaid. “Enough. Even if I explained, you wouldn’t really get it. Just stick to my instructions. If things go as planned, your achievements won’t fall short of Tyrone’s.”

Mayfield’s eyes lit up. He grinned at Mina, then hurried to interject. “Dad, does that mean I’ll finally get to step on Vincent’s neck? That guy’s a snake—he even tried to double-cross you!”

Mina’s expression flickered. She said nothing, sitting stiffly at the side.

She loved Vincent—there was no denying that, even if their relationship was tangled with calculation. She knew very well that Vincent was a hundred times more capable than Mayfield, who was nothing but a petty schemer in comparison. How could you even put the two in the same league?

But, priorities were priorities. For now, she needed to make the most of Stephen’s power and the influence behind him, to pull the Holloway family out of the gutter.

Only if the Holloways rose again could she reclaim her old standing.

As for Mayfield, he had no ambition—his only goal was to take Vincent down.
