Alicia gave birth to healthy twins—a boy and a girl—and after a week recovering at the hospital, she finally came home.
Meanwhile, Tyrone had waited at home so long, he felt like he was about to turn into a statue. With the hospital crawling with people and prying eyes, he didn’t dare go visit. All he could do was stare at his phone, desperately hoping Winnie or Easton would send him photos of his wife and the babies.
But for some reason, both Winnie and Easton were acting like they’d lost their minds. Not a single message, not even a blurry picture.
Tyrone was furious, but every call he made went straight to voicemail.
He was starting to think they were all doing it on purpose.
Finally, Easton came home. Tyrone was just about to demand answers when he saw Easton dragging his suitcase through the hallway, eyes red and puffy, clearly on the verge of tears.
“Where are you going?” Tyrone asked, completely taken aback.
“Bro… I just need some time alone, okay?” Easton choked out, pulling his suitcase behind him as he headed for the door.
Tyrone took a deep breath, trying to process. Time alone? Wasn’t he the one who needed peace and quiet right now?
And what about the photos and videos of his wife and kids?
But judging by the dramatic way Easton stormed out, Tyrone couldn’t even be bothered to ask. Maybe he just didn’t understand how young people lived these days.
Before he knew it, Easton was gone. Not long after, Winnie came bustling in. Tyrone checked the time. Why wasn’t Alicia home yet? And the babies…
He was about to ask Winnie, but she stomped right past him, face stormy, and slammed her bedroom door behind her.
Tyrone sucked in a breath and forced himself to let it go.
But just a few minutes later, Winnie emerged dragging her own suitcase, clearly planning to leave as well.
Tyrone stared in disbelief. “You need some time alone, too?”
Winnie looked surprised. “How did you know?”
