Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 471

The next morning, when Easton opened the fridge, the desserts were still sitting there, untouched.

Disappointment clouded his face as he ate breakfast in silence and left the house, barely exchanging a word with Tyrone or Alicia all morning.

“That boy…” Even Tyrone couldn’t help but notice something was off about Easton.

“He and Winnie… had a bit of a falling out,” Alicia murmured quietly, filling Tyrone in.

Tyrone paused, then nodded in understanding. “These things… they’ll have to sort out themselves.”

So the stalemate dragged on for nearly two weeks, neither side making a move—until Easton finally lost his patience.

He came home early from school one day and caught Winnie at the front steps.

“Sis… you’ve been avoiding me,” he said, his voice wavering just a little.

Winnie shot an awkward glance at Alicia, who was heading out the door with her. Clearing her throat, Winnie said, “Your sister-in-law and I are headed to the hospital—she’s about to have the baby. Whatever you want to talk about, let’s wait until after, okay?”

Alicia squeezed Winnie’s hand and gave her a gentle nudge. “Why don’t you two talk? I’ll go with your aunt and uncle ahead.” She climbed into the car, leaving Winnie and Easton alone by the curb.

Winnie had no choice but to face him. “Look… what happened that night—can we just pretend it never happened? You weren’t hurt, right? So let’s just—”

“Do you really dislike me that much?” Easton looked straight at her, searching her face.

“It’s not that,” Winnie said, choosing her words carefully. “It’s just… I don’t have those kinds of feelings for you, you understand? You’re like a little brother to me. Anything more just feels… wrong, like I’d be taking advantage of you.” She didn’t know if Easton could really grasp what she meant, but it was all she could offer.

At the hospital, Alicia had scheduled a C-section. The delivery went smoothly, and soon, the babies were born without much trouble.

Because they were twins—a boy and a girl—both were barely bigger than an adult’s hand, their skin wrinkled and fragile, looking impossibly delicate.

“Tyrone must be going crazy not being able to come to the hospital. You haven’t even sent him a video,” Yvonne said excitedly, her joy at becoming a grandmother written all over her face as she gazed at the twins.

Sean Quinn gave a sly grin and tucked his phone away. “Let him sweat a little longer.”

Truth was, he was green with envy. That kid, and now he had both a son and a daughter at once—life just wasn’t fair.
