Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 467

So, this was his plan all along. He’d been scheming, biding his time, just to wrest control of Lynch Corporation from her hands—and all for the sake of a son she never even knew he had. No wonder he’d suddenly found a new burst of ambition in his old age.

What a joke.

Did he really think some little brat—barely six or seven years old—could compete with her?

Natalia’s eyes brimmed with cold malice as she glanced at her assistant. “Getting rid of a child isn’t difficult, is it? I want that bastard and the woman gone. Completely erased.”

Her assistant looked uneasy, wringing his hands. “Natalia, if your father finds out—”

“Then don’t let him find out.”

Natalia’s voice was low and dangerous.

Italy. Hotel room.

Easton and Winnie had run off from the estate to explore the city. By the time night fell, they were stuck—the tourist season meant every hotel was booked solid. There was only one room left, so, awkwardly enough, they had to share.

Easton lay stiffly at the very edge of the bed, so tense he was almost about to fall off.

Winnie, on the other hand, seemed perfectly at ease. She watched him clinging to the strip of mattress. “Are you practicing some new yoga pose, little brother? A third of your body’s hanging in midair.”

She nearly burst out laughing.

Did this kid really think she was so desperate she’d pounce on a scrawny boy like him? “Relax, I’m not about to corrupt some baby-faced kid.”

Easton scowled, clearly annoyed. Why did everyone keep treating him like a child?

“I’m twenty, you know.”

Winnie rolled onto her side, grinning. “Sure, sure. Big man of twenty. Time for bed.”

She was asleep almost instantly, exhaustion overtaking her.

Easton’s heart thudded in his chest. He watched her, a strange mix of feelings rising up inside.

She really did trust him, didn’t she?

She honestly saw him as just a kid.

With a quiet sigh, Easton slipped off the bed and stepped out onto the balcony.
