Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 440

“Don’t be stupid. Letting someone use you as a pawn—what do you get out of it?” Alicia gripped Mira’s chin, forcing her to look up, then shoved her away and stood.

Outside the airport, Vincent came rushing over, panic written all over his face.

“Alicia…” He was breathless, clearly having run the whole way, worry etched deep into his features.

They were about to leave Seaview City for good. Alicia had guessed that, with Mira just released from jail and forbidden from leaving the country, she’d never let this last chance slip away. So Alicia had warned Vincent in advance—keep an eye on your sister.

Still, Mira had slipped past them and made it here.

“Vincent, I’m letting your sister off for your sake, but let’s be clear—she ran from your family, and someone put her up to this. You’d better find out who. Because whoever’s behind this isn’t just coming after me—they’re targeting the Lawson family, too.” Alicia’s voice was cool, her message unmistakable: deal with this, or else.

If the press caught wind of this now, it would be a disaster for the Lawsons—a family still struggling to recover from the last wave of bad publicity.

Stephen’s resignation was just the beginning; Mira running blindly into trouble was nothing short of foolish.

“I’ll handle it, Alicia. I’m sorry you had to go through this. Go on to Italy—I’ll join you as soon as I can…” Vincent’s voice was low, tense, trying to reassure her.

Did he still think she was the same Alicia—fragile, needing his protection? She wasn’t that girl anymore. There was no fear in her eyes now, not even a flicker.

Alicia said nothing more. She left with her bodyguards and Winnie, disappearing into the crowd.

“Vincent… it was Mina. Mina told me to do it—she led me out here,” Mira sobbed, terrified that her brother would send her to a psychiatric hospital.
