Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 436

Alicia sat on her bed, staring blankly at the DNA test results clutched in her hands. Winnie glanced around nervously before darting out of the room and returning with a lighter. “No one but us can ever know about this test. Not a soul. Do you realize that being the White family’s heir could be the very thing that gets you killed?”

Kneeling in front of Alicia, Winnie whispered as she handed over the lighter.

Alicia nodded, her gaze slowly hardening with resolve.

Whatever her true identity, she couldn’t just drift through life any longer.

If she wanted to stay with Tyrone forever, if she wanted to help him, she needed to stand tall—at a level where she could truly be his equal.

“Winnie, for now, we keep this to ourselves,” Alicia said quietly. “But I have a feeling... Reginald, Yvonne, maybe even Clayton—they probably already know who I am.”

Winnie’s eyes widened with worry as she looked at Alicia. “Don’t worry, I won’t breathe a word. But Alicia, what are you going to do now? My dad said Reginald’s health is getting worse...”

Alicia nodded again. She’d guessed as much; the old man must be seriously ill, or he wouldn’t have been so desperate to announce her true identity at the so-called Nicole’s homecoming banquet. He wanted everyone to know: the White family has only one heir, and it’s the real Nicole.

Her eyes stung with a sudden heat. For the first time, Alicia realized she wasn’t some unloved orphan.

Maybe from the very moment Reginald discovered who she was, he’d been working behind the scenes, paving the way for her.

But why should she just sit back and be protected, reaping rewards she didn’t earn? Her parents had been murdered, she’d suffered alone in an orphanage for years—why should the people behind it all get away with their schemes?

Her fingers clenched the sheets so hard her knuckles turned white. She looked at Winnie. “Winnie, there aren’t many people I can trust right now. But you—you’re the one I trust most. You know what I’m up against. I have no choice but to fight with everything I’ve got... I have to win.”

Alicia’s eyes met Winnie’s, unwavering.
