Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 427

Clayton nodded. “To run the household for a powerful family, you have to be the very best at everything.”

“The old man said it more than once—Butler Shaw is one of the sharpest people he’s ever met. If you’re ever uncertain, ask his advice. A man that clever and smooth, do you really think he wouldn’t know his own daughter was scheming with Jade and Brandon White, targeting the trust-fund kids in our circle? That he wouldn’t know what she was up to overseas? That he wouldn’t realize she’d set her sights on Easton?”

Tyrone let out a bitter laugh. This man—he’d probably been plotting to swallow up the Lynch family for years.

After my death, he must’ve thought Easton would be easier to manipulate.

Clayton drew a long breath. “This man, and whoever’s pulling the strings behind him—they’re the reason the Lynch family’s in this mess. Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised if what happened to your mother was Shaw’s doing from the start.”

Tyrone nodded. “You know why I trusted Shaw? Because he was the first to pull me aside and tell me he’d found a drug in my mother’s food—something that, over time, could drive a person mad. He said with enough pressure and stress, it would push her over the edge.”

Back then, Tyrone thought Shaw was the only one he could trust. He launched his own secret investigation, trying to pin down who’d poisoned his mother. He questioned everyone. The trail always went cold.

Looking back now, it was just Shaw playing both sides.

The man was terrifying.

To stay so close to Maddox all these years, never once giving himself away—it took real talent.

“What are you planning next?” Clayton asked, watching Tyrone closely.

Shaw might have been exposed, but the real danger was the people behind him—the ones working in the shadows, pulling the strings together.

Tyrone arched an eyebrow. “If I remember right, Natalia always had a thing for you. Didn’t she confess to you back in high school?”

Clayton rolled his eyes and turned for the door.

First, he’d gotten dragged into all that nonsense with Jade and Nicole White, forced to play the errand boy. Now Tyrone wanted to use him as bait?

“Are you absolutely sure Tyrone’s dead? Did you see the body yourself?” The voice on the other end was cold, clipped.

Shaw’s reply was equally sharp. “I changed his clothes myself. I watched that boy grow up. There’s no mistake.”

“Oh? Wearing the mask for so long—have you started to forget your real purpose? Or maybe you’re getting sentimental?” The man sneered.

Shaw didn’t answer at first. His eyes hardened. “You got what you wanted. From here on out, stay out of my way. The money’s yours, Lynch Corporation is mine. That’s what we agreed.”

“A tiger doesn’t raise a weak cub. Your daughter’s got Easton wrapped around her little finger, and you’re about to take over Lynch Corporation without breaking a sweat. But my payment… well, it still hasn’t hit my account.” The man’s voice was mocking.

“That’s your own incompetence. Wasn’t Stephen supposed to be terrified of you? You think he’d dare skim off the top?” Shaw’s tone was low and dangerous.

“Stephen’s a loyal mutt. But his son, Vincent… he’s the wild card.” There was a note of menace in the man’s voice when he spoke the boy’s name.
