Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 426

Winnie and Easton had just finished making dinner when they realized Alicia wasn’t in the living room. They called her name a few times, but there was no response. Panic settled in, and they rushed off to check the bedroom and study.

It took them a while, but finally, they found Alicia curled up in the corner of the study.

She was clutching an old photograph, her hair soaked with tears.

“Alicia…” Winnie called out, her voice tight with worry.

Alicia looked up at her and shook her head. “I’m fine. Just… let me cry one last time.”

From now on, she promised herself, she wouldn’t let the tears come so easily.

She’d learned by now that crying in secret was the most useless kind of relief.

If she had to cry, then those tears had to mean something.

Winnie’s heart ached for Alicia, but in this moment, she just didn’t know how to comfort her.

Easton stood in the doorway, his hands slowly curling into fists.

Ever since he’d learned he was a Lynch, ever since he’d been drawn into this world, his entire view of life had been shaken again and again. He didn’t want shares, money, or power—he just wanted family, just wanted his older brother’s acceptance. But in the end, it seemed everyone around them was scheming.

His own situation was tough enough, but Tyrone had grown up in the Lynch family, surrounded by this toxic environment. How had he even survived?

The more Easton thought about it, the more he empathized with Tyrone.

Sure, life in the fishing village had been hard, but at least the people there were honest and kind. They didn’t play mind games; some even slipped him extra pay behind the boss’s back. His body was worn out, but at least his heart was warm.

But Tyrone? He’d been born into the Lynch family, into this cutthroat world where everyone devoured each other. How could anyone live like that? The coldness and madness Tyrone showed were just armor.

“Easton, dinner’s ready. Where are you going?” Winnie asked, noticing the shadow on his face as he headed for the door.

“After your incident, Vincent locked the money away in his personal account. Stephen can’t touch it—no one can. Once Vincent and Stephen finally go after each other, the mastermind is bound to make a move,” Clayton said in a low voice.

Inside the hidden room behind the study, Tyrone was nursing serious injuries while the family doctor—the only one they could trust—stitched him up.

“You really went all in… At the funeral home, I thought you were actually dead,” Clayton muttered, shaking his head.

“If I didn’t make it convincing, we’d never fool those people,” Tyrone replied, voice hoarse.

“Do you have any suspects?” Clayton asked, curiosity piqued.

“In the Lynch family, the one who can leak secrets, who always knows where the old man is without ever being suspected… Who do you think?” Tyrone’s voice was rough.

“Your grandfather trusts the butler more than anyone—Shaw, Natalia’s father. But Shaw’s always been good to you, almost like a foster father. He’s watched you grow up. I remember suspecting him before and telling you to look into it, but didn’t you say there’s no way he’d be a traitor?” Clayton frowned at Tyrone.

“He’s been wearing a mask for years, and he’s a damn good actor. Even I’ve been fooled all this time. But he finally slipped up—and we have his idiotic, self-important daughter to thank for that,” Tyrone replied with a cold laugh. “You don’t survive as the Lynch family’s butler for decades unless you’re something else entirely.”
