She would never allow her son to be touched by Sophia.
"But your son can't hold it anymore."
"I will do it."
She was not going to give Sophia even a slight chance.
Noah cried out loud, "Mom, I've grown up."
"So what? You are still my son." As she was answering, she grabbed the chamber pot.
"Mom. No."
Noah's face was still red.
"Anyway, not you."
"If it's not me, it's not going to be Sophia, either. I will ask Gloria to do it." Mrs. Greenspan was about to go out.
Noah refused, "No, Mom. Not her."
Mrs. Greenspan turned a deaf ear to him. At that time, Sophia opened her mouth, "How about I find you a male nurse?"
"That will work."
That was probably the only way to fix the situation.
When Sophia found the nurse and came back, the room was full of noise.
"Gloria is going to be your wife one day or another. Why can't she help you?"
"Mom, I turned her down, and you had heard it. Why must you set me up with her?"
"You aren't thinking about marrying Sophia, are you? Even if she wants to, I will not agree."
Noah suddenly saw a gleam of hope, "What do you mean, Mom? Sophia wants to be with me?"
"Bullshit. She loves Drake, not you."
Mrs. Greenspan's words shattered her son's hope.
"Anyway, I won't let Gloria help me."
Even if that meant he had to pee on the bed.
At that moment, Sophia walked in with the male nurse, "Mrs. Greenspan, I found the nurse. Why don't we walk out and give Noah some privacy?"
The three of them walked out.
Though Mrs. Greenspan hated to admit it, Sophia was better than Gloria in every aspect.
But no matter how good she was, she had slept with someone else.
"Listen, Sophia, you may stay here and look after Noah, but you are not allowed to touch him."
Sophia smiled, "You don't have to shut me out like this. It's not necessary. After all, I think you know that Drake and I would not break up if it weren't for your son."
So was the thing she said before about opposing her being together with Noah.
Actually, Sophia had never thought about being together with Noah. As for why she offered to take care of Noah, for one thing, she tried to take responsibility; for another, she wanted to keep the balance between the four families.
Mrs. Greenspan was so pissed off. Sophia could always be so tactful that she could never figure out how to retort upon her.
Gloria stared at Sophia, "Don't think we would believe you easily. I will keep my eyes on you, Sophia."
"Do whatever you like."
It felt like someone was trying to get Noah here, as if he was just a pawn in a bigger game.
Sophia's phone rang. It was from Chloe.
"Sophia, how's the thing going? I heard Noah's seriously wounded. Is it true?"
"Yes, he was burned all over. I suppose it'll take him one or two years to leave the hospital."
"How come it was so serious? What about Bard?"
"He's alright. He will probably be discharged in a month."
"Why is there such a huge difference between them?"
"I'm also curious about it."
Chloe was just asking casually, but hearing what Sophia said, she thought about something, "You mean, someone's trying to finish off Noah?"
"I'm not sure, but I think someone was targeting at me and Drake."
Chloe inhaled deeply, "Who would it be to go against you and Drake in such a roundabout way?"
"I have an idea. But I don't have enough evidence to prove it."
These days, when Sophia calmed down, she combed through the whole thing. Noah was far away, but somehow it was he who got to know what happened, not Travis, not her, not even Drake.
There was only one way to explain this. Someone told him on purpose, so that he would be led there.
Sophia was one hundred percent sure that Noah would never do anything to hurt her.
As for the reason for the accident? To separate her and Drake. Who would benefit the most after they broke up was self-evident.
"Sophia, I heard that you and Drake broke up?"
