Revenge is My Love Language novel Chapter 94

Harrison reached back, and, picking up on the cue, Logan immediately handed him a pristine white handkerchief. Harrison took it and gently wiped Ana’s hands, his touch unhurried and meticulous.

Then she heard him say, “Next time, let someone else handle these things. No need to tire yourself out or get your hands dirty.”

Ana blinked, momentarily stunned, her eyes darting up to the man in front of her as if she’d misheard.

Harrison met her gaze. “What is it?”

She stammered, cheeks coloring. “Don’t you think I’m a little… well… not very gentle?”

“Not at all,” Harrison replied, his tone even. “As long as you’re gentle with me, that’s enough. You don’t owe anyone else that.”

As for Aaron—

Recalling what he’d overheard earlier, Harrison’s eyes flicked over to Aaron, a chilling glint flickering in his gaze. It was the kind of look you’d give a dead man.

It had been years since anyone dared covet what belonged to him.

Aaron, who’d just managed to get up from the floor, looked up and locked eyes with Harrison. The sheer menace in that look made his face drain of color and sweat bead on his brow.

Ana, meanwhile, had brightened at Harrison’s answer, all timidity forgotten. She pouted and complained, “He was talking trash about you just now! I wouldn’t have bothered hitting him otherwise!”

Just moments ago, her face had been fierce in front of Aaron, but now she looked sweet and delicate.

She glanced at Harrison again, her tone playful. “So what are you doing here, honey?”

“Just meeting someone nearby,” Harrison answered.

Harrison shot Aaron, who was cowering in the corner, a final, icy look.

“Mr. Lancaster…” Aaron stammered, sweat trickling down his forehead, his bravado from earlier utterly gone.

But Harrison just turned away coolly. “Let’s go.”

Ana was tempted to give Aaron another piece of her mind, but she didn’t want to risk upsetting Harrison by lingering, so she reluctantly let it go. There would be plenty of time to deal with that jerk later—right now, she’d rather spend her time with her husband.

Aaron, stunned that he’d gotten off so lightly, finally exhaled and slumped into a chair, all strength gone from his limbs.

He didn’t notice, though, that as they left, Harrison made a subtle gesture to Logan.

Logan glanced back, gave the smallest nod, and unobtrusively followed Harrison’s silent command.
