"I had a good friend at Haven House named Letitia. Mr. Jackson's fiancée looks exactly like her!"
Haven House?
Anastasia's eyes glinted. She was now almost certain—Yolanda had to be Letitia.
It was too much of a coincidence.
Haven House in Fairhaven was the orphanage her mother had sponsored. Before her mother passed away, she and Juliet would often go with her to play with the other children.
After her mother was gone, her relationship with the Brennan family became strained, and she stopped visiting the orphanage. As a result, she didn't remember many of the children there.
But she did remember that Juliet loved to go.
"I met Letitia when I started going to the orphanage by myself. She arrived after you had stopped coming," Juliet explained. "You wouldn't know her."
"Letitia and I were very close. I used to bring her home to play all the time. Then one time, I was sick for a week, and when I went back, she was gone. The director said she'd been adopted, and I lost contact with her after that…"
"Anastasia, do you think Mr. Jackson's fiancée could be Letitia?"
Juliet's voice was filled with excitement and hope at the prospect of reuniting with her childhood friend.
Anastasia didn't have the heart to point out the obvious. It seemed Yolanda was indeed Letitia, and she had clearly recognized Juliet but had shown no intention of acknowledging their past.
In fact, her strange behavior suggested she was hiding something, as if she had a guilty conscience…
"Anastasia, do you think Letitia recognized me? I want to—ah!"
Before Juliet could finish, Anastasia heard a scream through the phone, followed by the violent sound of a collision and the screech of tires.
Anastasia's face paled. She shot up from her seat. "Juliet—?!"
