Harrison gently stroked her hair. “You enjoy your games, don’t you? So I’ll have a game room made for you. But don’t get too addicted—an hour and a half a day, max.”
“And a study. You can use mine, of course, but when I’m on video calls for work, it might disturb you. So we’ll set up a separate one for you.”
“As for the apothecary, given your profession, you’ll need a proper space for your work.”
Anastasia blinked. “But why another bedroom?”
Was he planning for them to sleep separately? She tightened her grip on his arm, a flicker of anxiety in her eyes.
Harrison sighed with a hint of amusement. “Sometimes I work late. I don’t want to come in and wake you. On those nights, you can use the spare room to get some uninterrupted sleep.”
He had thought of everything, down to the smallest detail.
Anastasia felt the extra bedroom was a bit unnecessary, but she was deeply moved by his thoughtfulness. A smile blossomed on her face, and she wrapped her arms around him in a spontaneous hug.
“You’re the best, Hubby!”
The rest of the Lancaster family looked on, dumbfounded. He was already spoiling her this much right after bringing her home. What would the future hold? It was clear Harrison was serious about this.
The butler, however, looked troubled. “Mr. Lancaster, those rooms… they’re not empty anymore.”
The air grew still. Debby and Emily exchanged glances, smirks of ridicule and anticipation on their faces as their eyes drifted toward Susan and her two children.
