He glanced at Anastasia.
With Harrison’s precious darling right here, did he really think he’d be the one taking the call?
Anastasia gritted her teeth.
“Enough talk. Let’s go. The sooner we get this done, the sooner we can go home!”
She strode toward the main gate of the institute, only to be stopped by security.
“Who are you? Get out of here! This is a restricted area!”
Back when Cecilia was alive, the institute was famous, and wealthy benefactors frequently sought collaborations. Though years had passed since her death, her legacy lingered, and admirers still came knocking.
The guards had seen it all. Though Anastasia and her companions were clearly well-off, they paid them no mind and immediately tried to shoo them away.
Marcus and Logan came up behind her. Marcus let out a knowing chuckle. “Tsk, tsk. Nice attitude. Looks like your institute has some management issues, sis-in-law.”
To be so dismissive without even asking for their identities—this was how you alienated people.
Anastasia’s expression darkened. She could see the problem as clearly as Marcus could.
The attitude of a single guard was enough to tell her that the institute she had neglected for so many years was not being run properly.
“I sent a message to Dennis saying I was coming. Did he not inform you?” Anastasia asked the two guards coldly.
The guards blinked. “Who are you?”
“Anastasia. The owner of this institute.”
