"How is it nonsense?!" Penny had spent years hiding their true relationship for Lauren's sake, never even hearing her own daughter call her 'Mom'. She had schemed and planned for Lauren's future, and now her daughter was showing her no loyalty. It was more than she could bear. "Lauren, do you have any idea what I sacrificed so the Brennans would adopt you? Are you really going to be such an ungrateful wretch?"
