Sean beat a hasty retreat. He had clearly overstayed his welcome.
Anastasia’s claim that she had a plan was not just to appease Harrison.
The next day, she went to the Global Harmony Medical Institute. She had taken a few days off to deal with company matters. Mr. Lockwood, the dean, who was fond of her and exceptionally lenient, had approved her leave without any questions.
Seeing her return, he greeted her warmly. "You're back. Is everything taken care of?"
Anastasia smiled. "All done. Thank you for approving my leave, Dean."
Mr. Lockwood chuckled. "With your skills, you could miss two weeks and it wouldn't matter. A few days off is nothing."
Just then, someone approached them. "Dean—"
It was Erin.
Her expression shifted when she saw Anastasia. "Dean, about the dismissal of the visiting students…"
Anastasia raised an eyebrow. "Hasn't that been dealt with yet?"
Mr. Lockwood had given her the authority, and she had confirmed the dismissal list with him over the phone. By now, those students should have been long gone.
"Anastasia was handling this matter, so direct your questions to her," Mr. Lockwood said.
Anastasia nodded and took over.
"Lauren failed because she was no match for me. Now I'm playing her game. If she has what it takes, she's welcome to try and get even."
She had already explained her reasoning for the dismissals to Mr. Lockwood, and Erin surely knew it too. But since Erin insisted on framing it as a personal vendetta, Anastasia saw no point in arguing. She might as well lean into it.
As expected, Erin was left speechless.
Anastasia had no time to waste on such nonsense. "The dean's office has already issued the notices. They have to leave. If they refuse, I'll have security personally 'escort' them out. Go and tell them that if they're not afraid of being humiliated, they're welcome to stay."
Without another glance at Erin's face, she walked away.
Half an hour later, Anastasia selected fifteen students from the official student roster and sent each of them a message, asking them to meet her in a conference room to discuss a private matter.
