Revenge is My Love Language novel Chapter 508

"I never imagined you would misunderstand so completely," Lauren continued, her voice trembling slightly. "I didn't think you would refuse to listen to my explanation and, in front of everyone, order your bodyguards to throw me out of the building and have me beaten."

She had rehearsed these lines to perfection. She knew Anastasia would try to use her presence at Unison Pharma against her, so she had struck first. Everything she said was technically true. She *was* an intern there with her grandfather’s blessing, giving her a legitimate reason to be on the premises. As for acting like the future owner? Had she ever said so herself? If the Brennans investigated, they would find nothing but rumors, which she could easily claim to be unaware of.

And her interference in the company’s internal decisions? Only the senior management knew about that. Regan was her man and would never betray her. As for the other directors, they were old relics who did nothing. Would they really come forward to expose her?

No. The mud she was slinging at Anastasia today would stick. Anastasia had no way to wash it off and would be forced to admit, in front of the entire Brennan family, that she had attacked her.

Winni, who had only known that Lauren was injured, was now hearing that Anastasia had publicly humiliated her in front of the entire company. Her face grew even darker. Murray, too, couldn't help but frown.

Mr. Brennan stared at Anastasia, his expression unreadable.

Benson’s handsome face had already hardened, his eyes filled with a clear mixture of anger and disappointment.

Murray shifted, subtly placing himself in front of his wife. His demeanor remained mild, but a new layer of caution and fear had entered his eyes. "My wife is merely emotional and concerned for the children. Please, Mr. Lancaster, don't take it personally. However, we must get to the bottom of this. Once the truth is clear, apologies can be made and amends offered. Don't you agree?"

Harrison's presence was overwhelming. "If you want clarity," he said, his voice sharp, "then everyone has a right to speak. Ana has yet to say a word, yet the Brennan family is already convicting her. Do you hold the Lancaster family in such low regard?"

The color drained from Murray and Winni’s faces.
