Revenge is My Love Language novel Chapter 231

She walked over, took the dress down, and held it against herself. “Does it look good?”

“It’s gorgeous!”

“Alice, try it on! We haven’t seen what it looks like on you yet!”

Alice was tempted, but just then, her phone buzzed.

She glanced at the screen, and her expression changed instantly—

Why is Anastasia suddenly back?!

The moment Anastasia stepped inside Rosewood Manor, she immediately sensed something was off.

Where were all the staff? Not a single person in sight.

She’d thought it might be her imagination outside, but as she entered the main house and still saw no one, her elegant brows furrowed with suspicion.

She was about to turn around and ask Marcus what was going on when suddenly, a cacophony of hurried footsteps echoed down the staircase.

Anastasia looked up sharply, and her face turned instantly cold.

“Alice? Who gave you permission to be here?”

There on the stairs was Alice, leading a small crowd of people—God knows what they’d been doing upstairs.

Alice froze in place, caught like a deer in headlights.

Her classmates, trailing behind, stopped as well, unsure whether to go up or down. Someone recognized Anastasia and whispered, half in awe, half in fear, “Isn’t that Anastasia from sophomore year? What’s she doing here?”

Alice overheard, and as her eyes met Anastasia’s icy glare, her heart hammered in her chest. Her palms grew slick with nervous sweat.

“I—I…”

“Come on, let’s get upstairs. I need to do your treatment—I’ve got somewhere to be.”

Once the acupuncture was done and they came downstairs, the staff had all returned.

“Where were you just now?” Anastasia asked as she descended the staircase.

The staff were surprised to see her, and hurried to answer respectfully, “Ma’am, Mary called us all out for a staff meeting just now!”

No one knew what had gotten into Mary; she’d kept them out there for two whole hours.

“Mary?” Anastasia’s eyes narrowed, her gaze turning icy.

She gave a cold huff, then ordered, “A few of you, go upstairs and check if anything’s missing.”

The staff didn’t know what had happened, but quickly obeyed and headed upstairs.
