Revenge is My Love Language novel Chapter 179

Didn’t everyone say Mr. Harrison Lancaster hated women—and hated anyone getting close to him even more?

But right now, her cousin and that infamous man were practically pressed together, and he didn’t look the least bit annoyed! He was even tending to her cousin’s wound himself!

And wasn’t Mr. Harrison Lancaster supposed to be some old man? That’s what everyone said, right?

Juliet stared, wide-eyed, taking in the face that was, frankly, even better-looking than her brother’s. She sucked in a sharp breath. Where on earth had that ridiculous rumor started? Whoever spread it must have been blind!

Just then, Anastasia’s finger was all bandaged up. The cut still stung, but there was such a warm sweetness blooming in her chest that the pain barely mattered anymore. She flexed her finger, grinning at the way the bandage made it look round and chubby.

With heartfelt praise, she gushed, “Honey, you did such a good job!”

Harrison: “…”

Suddenly, she spotted her younger cousin hovering nearby and her eyes lit up. “Juliet!”

Juliet hurried over, still a little dazed by the scene in front of her. She shot a cautious look at the legendary Mr. Harrison Lancaster, her heart pounding. “Anastasia.”

Anastasia snuggled against Harrison’s arm, beaming up at him as she said, “Honey, this is my cousin Juliet. You can just call her Juliet!”

Then she turned to Juliet, “Juliet, this is my husband.”

The other two fell silent. After a moment, Juliet parted her lips, hesitated, and finally managed a tentative, “Um…cousin-in-law…”

She sounded uncertain, almost nervous. Calling Mr. Harrison Lancaster “cousin-in-law”? Even knowing her cousin had married him, she’d never thought she’d actually say it out loud!

Harrison nodded once, a quiet “Mm.”

Juliet blinked in surprise. She hadn’t expected any sort of response from him. Instantly, most of her worries for her cousin melted away.

“Thank you!” she said sweetly.

Harrison paused, then replied with a quiet “Mm.” He found, to his surprise, that he didn’t mind being called that at all.

Juliet followed the housekeeper to her room, then called her parents to let them know she wouldn’t be coming home that night.

“Not coming home? Where are you?” Mrs. Brennan asked, her voice tight with worry.

Juliet had always been the obedient, sheltered one in the family—never stayed out late, never broke the rules. She’d already surprised them by texting that she’d be late because of a classmate gathering; now she was saying she wouldn’t be home at all. No wonder her mother sounded frantic.

Juliet didn’t dare say where she actually was. She knew perfectly well her mother couldn’t stand her cousin; if she told the truth, there’d be an uproar at home for sure.

So she mumbled a vague excuse, hoping it would be enough.
