Revenge is My Love Language novel Chapter 153

Anastasia’s face had turned pale, and with a sidestep, she blocked Helen’s view. “Why are you following me?”

Helen’s answer was half-hearted as she tried to peer around Anastasia. “I’m just worried about you. Thought you might need something…”

It was so dark, Helen couldn’t see clearly—only that there was a man sitting in the back seat. But the car she recognized instantly; it was the same ultra-rare luxury ride that had been photographed and posted on the university forum earlier that day.

Whoever owned a car like that definitely wasn’t ordinary.

If she could just meet him… maybe even get closer…

Suppressing her excitement, Helen tried to act casual. “Anastasia, who’s that in the car? Aren’t you going to introduce me?”

Helen’s intentions were written all over her face, and Anastasia found it more irritating than amusing. She was about to retort when a soft tapping on the car window caught her attention.

She turned to see Harrison in the back seat, gesturing for her to hurry up and get in. A moment later, the car pulled away.

Anastasia’s mood soured even further.

It was obvious Harrison didn’t want anyone to know about their connection—worried it might affect her reputation.

“Anastasia, who was that?” Helen pressed, clearly disappointed the car had left. “What’s your relationship with him?”

Anastasia rolled her eyes, not bothering to hide her annoyance. “And what does that have to do with you? Are you interviewing me for a census?”

Helen choked on her words, wanting to complain—as usual—that Anastasia wasn’t treating her like a friend. But then she remembered how many times she’d already been rebuffed.

This was infuriating. What was wrong with Anastasia lately?

Before the break, things were fine—Anastasia would always agree to whatever Helen suggested. But now, she wouldn’t even spare her a friendly glance.

Anastasia checked the time. “No idea. All I know is it’s almost time for me to relax, so if you’ve got something to say, make it quick.”

“You—!” Maggie was fuming, and didn’t waste another word. She shoved a letter into Anastasia’s hands, her tone sharp and commanding. “Tomorrow at two, you’ll read this apology over the school radio.”

Anastasia glanced at the paper, her eyes narrowing. “What’s this supposed to be?”

“Don’t play dumb!”

Maggie was nearly trembling with anger.

“For the upcoming school anniversary, our class was supposed to get a sponsorship. Over the summer, I’d convinced Penelope to have her family’s company, Sterling Enterprises, sponsor us. But now, thanks to someone who upset her, the deal’s off!”

The rest of the class officers all shot Anastasia hostile looks.
