Revenge is My Love Language novel Chapter 131

Of course. After all, the only reason they sent her to Rosewood Manor in the first place was to climb the social ladder and squeeze some benefit out of Harrison, wasn’t it?

Now that their company was in trouble, of course they’d come running to him for help.

Anastasia remembered what Harrison had promised her: his money was only for her, not for the Sterling family. That thought made the corners of her mouth twitch upward in satisfaction.

Want his money? Too bad—her husband was nobody’s fool.

Gabriel happened to catch her little smile and instantly bristled with anger.

She wouldn’t even speak up for him, and now she was smiling? Just like Nora said, this daughter of his was nothing but an ungrateful brat—raising her had been a waste.

“Mr. Harrison Lancaster…”

Harrison’s tone was cool. “Is that all, or do you have something else?”

Gabriel hesitated, then his face lit up with hope. Did this mean Mr. Lancaster was agreeing to help?

Anastasia immediately sat up straighter, her expression turning solemn.

Had her husband really forgotten his promise to her?

Just as she moved, Harrison gave her hand a gentle squeeze. She glanced at him and instantly understood the message, relaxing back into her seat without protest.

Gabriel was about to say that was all, but Nora suddenly spoke up, her voice trembling with emotion.

“There’s something else I must beg Mr. Lancaster to help us with!”

Anastasia’s eyes narrowed.

So that was it—Nora was coming for her.

She didn’t bother with pleasantries. “Ms. Sinclair, why don’t you tell everyone just how much your brother’s family owes me? Or how exactly you all managed to ‘borrow’ that money in the first place?”

“You say I forced him to sell the company? Maybe ask yourselves why selling it was the only way to pay me back. If you never had the means to repay me, why come begging for money in the first place? What kind of scheme was your family running?”

“‘We never said we wouldn’t pay you back’? What a joke! If I just sat around waiting, I’d probably die of old age before seeing a single cent.”

Anastasia’s words were sharp as knives. Around them, the staff exchanged glances, their eyes filled with barely concealed contempt for Nora, whose cheeks burned with humiliation.

She clenched her fists, refusing to answer Anastasia’s questions. Instead, she fell back on a familiar refrain. “No matter what, they’re still your uncle and grandmother! The old woman you shoved is still in the hospital—don’t you feel any remorse at all?”

“You laid hands on her?” Harrison’s expression immediately darkened as he turned to the girl beside him.

Anastasia’s heart skipped a beat. Did he think she’d gone too far?
