At the Lawson estate.

Mr. and Mrs. Lawson were a wreck of anger and despair.

"Our families have known each other for decades! How could Harrison do this? How dare he?!"

"This can't happen. We have to go to the Lancaster estate. They owe us an explanation!"

The couple had just returned home but didn't even bother to change before storming off to the Lancaster residence.

They were shown in and met with Mr. Lancaster Sr.

"Sir, what is the meaning of this?!" Morgan demanded, his face grim.

"This joke of Harrison's has gone too far! What does this say about the friendship between our families? Where does this leave my family's dignity? Or has the Lancaster family decided to declare us enemies?!"

Morgan was fuming, but Mr. Lancaster Sr. remained perfectly composed, not even twitching an eyebrow.

When Morgan finished, the old man finally looked up.

"Wasn't it the Lawson family that declared war on the Lancasters? From what I hear, it wasn't my family that disregarded our long-standing friendship."

Morgan faltered. "Some unpleasant things did happen at the party, but at the end of the day, my daughter was the one who was wronged!"

Mr. Lancaster Sr. was not pleased to hear this.

Just as Anastasia had said, was his grandson, simply because he was a man, supposed to have gotten the better end of the deal after being schemed against?

He cut to the chase. "If you believe you're in the right, then go talk to Harrison. I promised him I wouldn't interfere in this matter."

Not interfere?!

Morgan's face darkened. "Are you saying you're just going to stand by and watch him destroy my family?"
