Revenge is best served cold novel Chapter 62

Chapter 62 Can’t Compare to An Outsider

I said, “I don’t want to waste any more time with you. If I ever see you with Jeremiah again or if you get involved in matters with the Cornell family, I’ll take it as you’re clearly siding with them. Also, I’m really disappointed in you after what happened. I never thought my own sister would care more about outsiders than me.

I imitated her actions, wiping away a pretend tear while feigning innocence.

Mom thought I was really upset and hurried over to comfort me.

Elsa was dumbfounded on the spot, but I could clearly see the hatred in her eyes.

I didn’t say anything more. After quickly composing myself, I told my parents I was leaving

With that, if Elsa continued to openly side with the Comell family or Jeremiah, I believed my parents would eventually see her

true nature.

Back home, I focused on preparing for the brand launch and never went out again.

During this time, Eric would occasionally come over, and we’d have meals together. Our relationship grew much closer than before.

I realized that while he appeared cold and aloof, he was actually quite interesting

I didn’t expect Jack to show up at my door by the afternoon. He looked furious, with the delicate Elsa trailing behind him.

“Jane, it’s one thing for you to play around with shares, but now, you’ve dragged Dad into it too! You’ve never been in this industry and don’t understand shares, yet you’re trying to get Dad to waste his money. One day, you’ll ruin the Brown family’s wealth!

“I’ve already warned you before–whatever you do with your own money is your business, but don’t drag the Brown family into it. Now? Are you really trying to bet the entire Brown Group on this?”

Elsa chimed in helplessly, “Jane, Jack’s right. If you lose a little bit of money, it’s fine, but you convinced Dad to buy so many shares. What if he loses? Who’s going to be responsible for the losses?”

Seeing the two of them tag–teaming, I couldn’t help but sneer, “You’re already so eager to come and blame me before knowing the truth. If Dad does end up losing, I can guarantee that I’ll cover all his losses. But if he makes a profit, you two will owe me an apology.”
