The girl was grabbed by the collar and flung out the door. She let out a sharp cry as she was thrown out, landing hard on the ground. Subsequently, the second was tossed out, then another.

Juliette stared in disbelief at the burly men who appeared out of nowhere. Feeling desperate, she tried to tempt them, “Make her kneel before me, and all 50 thousand dollars are yours!”

However, the bodyguards remained expressionless. They stepped forward in unison, suddenly closing in on Juliette.

Startled, Juliette let out a sharp scream and stumbled back, only to misstep and fall flat on her backside.

Bank cards were scattered on the floor. When she looked up, the burly men loomed over her like demons. They were expressionless with an intimidating

presence.

Valerie stood among the bodyguards, looking down at the disheveled Juliette on the floor. She said calmly, “See Miss Scott out, so she doesn’t get lost when she gets out.”

“Yes, Madam!” The bodyguards shouted in unison, their movements perfectly synchronized. The sheer force of their presence seemed to shake everything around them, as if the air in their surroundings trembled under their overwhelming momentum.

At the very center of that overwhelming aura, Juliette turned pale with fear, nearly bursting into tears. She stumbled backward in a panic and, before the bodyguards even made a move, fled in a scramble, crawling and tumbling as she ran.

The girls who had been thrown to the ground by the bodyguards also bolted in terror, silently cursing Juliette repeatedly in their hearts

After Juliette and the girls scrambled away, the air finally became fresher. Valerie turned to the shop owner and asked calmly, “Is the fan still for sale?”

The shop owner had been watching the whole scene, and his scalp tingled from the shock.

‘The Shelton family is formidable enough, but this young lady travels with bodyguards? And bodyguards of this caliber are not the kind just anyone can hire,‘ the shop owner thought in awe.

The shop owner hurriedly nodded, carefully wrapped up the fan, and presented it to Valerie with both hands. He even offered her a discount, and with utmost respect, he escorted Valerie to the door.

Meanwhile, the more Juliette thought about it after being scared off, the angrier she became. Her eyes were bloodshot with rage.

‘Valerie, Valerie! I swear I won’t rest until you’re dead!‘ she thought to herself.

Just as Juliette was contemplating whether to call that mysterious man, someone pressed a cloth over her mouth and nose from behind.

The pungent odor overwhelmed her senses, plunging her into unconsciousness. After that, she remembered nothing.

Juliette woke up to a bucket of cold water splashing over her. Her entire body was tightly bound, leaving her completely unable to move.

Juliette stared in terror at the burly men closing in on her. She tried to shrink back, but could not move at all, only managing to topple backward and roll across the floor.

“Miss Shelton, is that you?” asked one of the burly men, sneering with a thuggish grin, his demeanor radiating trouble. “We just have a few questions for you.”

Colette’s birthday would begin in the evening. Many elders from the Shelton family mainly came to see what had become of that sweet little girl they remembered after she endured over a decade of hardship away from home.

Therefore, many had arrived earlier. By noon, the Shelton residence was already bustling with activities. Everyone waited, yet Juliette never showed up.

Camren sent people to look for Juliette, but she was nowhere to be found. After some time, he found out Juliette had gone to the antique street in the morning and had vanished after a heated confrontation with Valerie.

Valerie was eating when she noticed Camren’s gaze. She tilted her head slightly, returning a questioning look that seemed to ask, “Are you here for me?”

Camren quickly masked his astonishment and said, “I heard you met my sister, Juliette, this morning.”

Valerie took a sip of water and said calmly, “Yes, and we had an unpleasant confrontation. Mr. Shelton is here to st

“If both of you are involved, please let her go. It wouldn’t be appropriate for her to miss today’s occasion,”

Valerie froze for a moment before saying, “Juliette Scott’s missing?”

“Ms. Clark, her name is now Juliette Shelton,” Camren said.
