"Have you fully recovered?" Sebastian asked.
Chaya shook her head. "I was trapped for thousands of years, and that has damaged my foundation. I can't recover fully within a short period of time," Chaya answered.
"That's okay. You're out now, so you have time to recover slowly. Later, I'll prepare some tonics to help with your recovery," Sebastian said.
"Thank you," Chaya thanked again.
"You're welcome. Let's go. After passing through this forest, we'll be really out of this place. However, there are many strong monsters in the forest. Watch out for them," Sebastian advised.
Chats nodded, and they entered the forest, rushing out. Soon, they ran into a level three monster. Sebastian was about to attack when a dark light flashed past and slashed the monster into half.
Without looking back, Sebastian knew this was Chaya's work. Her speed and attack power surpassed him by leaps and bounds. A level three monster was as strong as a pinnacle demigod, but Chaya killed it as easily as killing an ant.
When Sebastian wanted to leave, he saw Chaya drawing out a knife and cutting open the monster's belly. Then, she retrieved a pearl the size of a peach from within.
"Is that a demon essence?" Sebastian asked doubtfully.
Chaya nodded. "This is the demon essence from the level three monster, Swift Wolf. It can be used as an ingredient in alchemy and weapon-making."
"That's some good stuff." Sebastian held the pearl and scrutinized it. Previously, he had only heard about it from Lazarus. This was the first time he was seeing it.
He could sense that the essence contained a strong energy and had a high value. Besides the level of the monster, the value of a demon essence relied on the amount of energy within.
