Remorse After Breaking Up (Sebastian) novel Chapter 838

Sebastian felt a troubling sense of unease as he stared into the pit below. His instincts screamed that something terrifying lurked within. If he fell in, his life would likely be over.

Last time, the teleportation had sent them outside, but this time, he had ended up above the pit. He figured that this must be the work of the Demon Tribe.

Sebastian tried to harness the natural energy around him to fly away, but a strange force above the pit blocked his control. Suddenly, an overwhelming gravitational pull yanked him downward. Before he could react, he was already falling.

His heart raced as he gripped the Demon Blade tightly. No matter what awaited him below, he refused to give in. The pit was deeper than he had expected, at least 300 feet.

Sebastian's body slammed hard into the bottom of the pit and created a crater in the solid earth. The force of the impact was terrifying. Any ordinary person would have been reduced to a bloody pulp.

Fortunately, his body had been honed to the point where it was as tough as a top-tier magical artifact. Though the pain was intense, it wasn't enough to cause any serious harm.

Sebastian quickly scrambled to his feet, but the darkness was overwhelming. He couldn't see a thing, not even his own hand in front of his face. There wasn't a single trace of light.

He looked up and was aware of the opening above, but the darkness seemed to swallow it whole.

To make matters worse, the strange energy in this place blocked his spiritual senses, which rendered him helpless. He tried to access his storage space ring, but it remained unresponsive.

The air was thick with a nauseating stench, which made Sebastian's stomach churn. His breathing quickened, and his heartbeat echoed in the silence of the underground dungeon. It was so loud, as if the world itself was listening.

A chilling wind whipped around him and sent shivers down his spine as cold sweat beaded on his forehead and palms.
