Sebastian tightly held her in his arms, gently trying to comfort her.
"What exactly happened? How did you all just disappear like that?" Sebastian asked in confusion.
"I don't know what happened either. When I was walking, I was suddenly pulled away by some invisible force. I looked everywhere for you but couldn't find anyone," Lillian said as she cried.
"Did you see anyone else?" Sebastian asked.
Lillian replied, "I heard something over there just now, but I was too scared to go alone."
"Take me there. Let's go."
The area was eerily silent. They had seen a couple of large birds earlier, but they were far off in the distance. Any noises could be coming from the people who had recently vanished.
Lillian led Sebastian, and they ran for a long time. At some point, a thick mist began to form around them, seriously obstructing their view.
"Are we almost there?" Sebastian asked.
"It's just up ahead. We're nearly there," Lillian replied.
"Sebastian, what are you doing? Stop!"
Suddenly, a voice called out from behind him. Instinctively, Sebastian turned around. He couldn't believe his eyes.
The person who was standing just 65 feet away was Lillian.
He quickly glanced back at the Lillian who was standing beside him. They were identical in every way, including their clothing as well. Even twins couldn't have been this identical.
Sebastian couldn't tell them apart.
"Who is she? Why does she look exactly like me?" The Lillian next to him was very shocked.
Standing at a distance, the other Lillian was also shocked. "Sebastian, come here. Quick! She's the fake one. I'm the real Lillian!"
"You're lying! I'm the real Lillian. She's the imposter!" the Lillian beside him said anxiously. "Sebastian, do you remember when we first met? It was at the hotel. I was drugged, and when I woke up, I was completely naked.
