"Let's go find them quickly!" Lana said, preparing to search for the missing group.
Sebastian grabbed her arm and said, "Both of you stay right here. I'll go look for them."
"Something's wrong!" Cassandra suddenly shouted. She stared straight ahead as her eyes widened with fear.
"What is it this time?"
Sebastian's gut was telling him that something bad was happening. He quickly turned around, only to be shocked by what he saw. The members of the Infernal Gate, who had been walking in front of them, had also disappeared.
Not only that, but the palace that had been perched on the mountain's peak just moments ago had vanished into thin air.
Cold sweat broke out on everyone's foreheads. Nearly a dozen people had mysteriously disappeared in broad daylight, and now they were witnessing something that seemed like a paranormal event.
"Sebastian, I'm a bit scared." Lana gripped his arm tightly.
Sebastian could feel her trembling. She was clearly shaken by everything that was happening.
Cassandra's face didn't look good either. Her face went pale and her forehead was slick with cold sweat.
"Don't be afraid. This must be some kind of formation. They were probably teleported somewhere else," Sebastian tried to comfort them.
"Sebastian, do you know how to deal with formations?" Lana asked curiously.
"I know a little. Both of you stay put and don't move. I'm going to check it out."
As he spoke, he activated his spiritual senses, scanning the ground carefully.
About seven feet below the surface, he found strange patterns etched into the earth. These markings seemed to be part of the formation.
Unfortunately, Sebastian was not an expert in formations. While he could recognize some basic patterns, these were far too complex for him to decipher.
When it came to teleportation arrays, he was completely clueless. There was no way he could figure out how to use them to track down the others.
