Remorse After Breaking Up (Sebastian) novel Chapter 726

If it hadn't been for Leticia, Sebastian wouldn't have risked entering Imperial Chaplain Manor and would have avoided the ambush. Had it not been for his good fortune, he might have perished.

This made Sebastian very angry. As he saw her, he instantly flew into a rage, slapping her.

Though Leticia was a divine grandmaster, she was like a child compared to Sebastian. It wasn't until the moment Sebastian's hand was about to strike her head that she realized the danger. However, she had no time to react and was paralyzed with fear.

As Sebastian's hand came dangerously close to her head, Leticia felt as if death itself was beckoning her. Just then, his hand suddenly stopped, mere inches from her skull.

Despite the close call, Leticia felt a sharp pain on her head and was overwhelmed with fear.

She took a step forward and quickly turned around.

When she saw Sebastian, her face turned pale with fright.

"Mr. Wilder, please let me explain. It's not as you think."

"Leticia, do you really think I'd believe your nonsense?" Sebastian asked coldly.

Leticia said cautiously, "Mr. Wilder, I swear I didn't betray you. I don't know why my father was aware in advance and set up an ambush. I swear, I didn't know anything about it and never intended to harm you. Please, you have to believe me."

Sebastian smirked. "You'd better give me a reason to believe you, or I won't hesitate to kill you."

"Mr. Wilder, look at my face, and then at my arms."

Her face was a bit swollen. She rolled up her sleeve, revealing a mix of old and new bruises, clearly from being beaten with something like a vine.
