Heather glared at Sebastian while gritting her teeth. "Sebastian, you bastard! You actually had the guts to come. I can't decide if I should praise your bravery or call you a fool."
Sebastian smiled lightly and said, "This place isn't exactly a dragon's lair. Why wouldn't I dare to come?"
Heather snorted coldly. "Stop playing dumb. Since you've come today, don't expect to leave here alive."
Martin wore a mocking smile. "Brat, today next year will be your death anniversary!"
Camden chimed in right after. "Don't say I didn't give you a chance. If you kneel down, admit your mistakes, gouge out your own eyes, and break your own hands, I'll spare your life!"
Sebastian raised the invitation in his hand and said, "You invited me to your engagement party. I came here to congratulate you, so I'm your guest. Yet, here you are, shouting threats. Is this how you treat your guests?"
"Are you out of your mind?" Camden sneered. "I invited you here just to kill you. You're no guest."
"This guy is such an idiot. He thinks that just because he came to congratulate the couple, Mr. Camden would let him go. He must be dreaming."
"Exactly! He ruined Ms. Knott's reputation. Mr. Camden would never let him live. I can't tell if this guy is naive or just plain stupid."
The crowd was quick to hurl insults. Among all the people present, aside from Hendrick and Abigail, only Kaitlyn seemed worried about Sebastian. Despite everything Sebastian had done to her, seeing him in danger made her anxious.
Sebastian looked at Camden and said, "Today is your engagement party. Killing someone might bring bad luck, don't you think?"
Camden scoffed. "We cultivators don't care about such things. If you want to live today, the only way is to do as I say."
Hearing this, Sebastian laughed and his smile was full of ridicule.
Camden immediately grew furious. "What are you laughing at, you brat?"
