Remorse After Breaking Up (Sebastian) novel Chapter 1119

Bryn Blanc was shaking with anger but forced herself to stay calm.

Gritting her teeth, she raised her hand and slapped herself hard across the face. The sound echoed loudly, and a red welt appeared on her cheek.

Sebastian looked at Bryn with a smug smile. "Well, it seems like you have some strength after all. Keep going. Don't stop!"

Holding back her tears, Bryn slapped herself nine more times in quick succession. Her face swelled up, and blood started to trickle from the corner of her mouth. Still, she glared defiantly at Sebastian.

"Not bad. What an obedient little girl," he remarked, clicking his tongue in mock admiration.

Bryn shot Sebastian a hateful look, vowing that one day she would make him pay for this.

Seeing that she wasn't going to continue, Sebastian didn't push further. He turned to Talon Blanc and said, "Alright, Mr. Blanc. Your daughter has apologized, so I can continue treating your son. However, I have one more condition."

Talon's heart sank. He knew Sebastian was about to make another outrageous demand, but for the sake of Aime's life, he had no choice. "What's your condition? Please, just tell me, Mr. Healer."

"In a moment, I'll heal your son's veins, bones, and core, but if you want him to regain his cultivation base, there's a special item I'll need."

"You mean my son's cultivation base could be restored?" Talon asked excitedly. He had thought Aime would have to start training from scratch, even if his core was repaired.

Sebastian said with confidence, "Restoring his powers is nothing. If you find this item, not only will your son recover, but he could even reach greater heights. You might all benefit from a bit of cultivation boost, too."

Talon's excitement grew. "Tell me what it is, and I'll find a way to get it."

"Celestial Essence!" Sebastian responded.

To his surprise, they actually had Celestial Essence in stock.

Overjoyed, Talon was quickly brought back down to earth when the guild refused to sell it, claiming it was their most prized treasure.

Talon begged and pleaded. Finally, the guild representative agreed, but only for a sky-high price. It cost him five billion spiritual stones.

He was dumbfounded. His family's entire fortune amounted to around 30 billion, and most of it was tied up in assets, with only five to six billion in liquid funds.

In the end, he gritted his teeth as he made the purchase. Sebastian had promised that with the Celestial Essence, Aime would not only recover but also surpass his previous abilities. Sebastian even hinted that the elders, including Talon himself, would see their powers increase.

Money could always be earned back, but the chance to advance in power was rare, and he couldn't pass up the opportunity.
