The Blancs were one of the four prestigious families of Wonderton. They had formidable power, boasting over a dozen Lesser Deity Masters, far surpassing Swordity in strength. Presently, there were about seven or eight of them on the scene, forming an intimidating force when combined.
"Stop!"
Just as Sebastian was considering whether he should unleash his full power, Talon suddenly ordered the elders to stand down.
Gaius immediately grew anxious. "Father, this old man seriously injured Mr. Cinco and humiliated Bryn. We can't just let him go!"
Talon shot him a sharp look, causing Gaius to feel a wave of guilt. He was a deeply self-serving person who cared little for the fate of the Fifth Elder or his own sister's humiliation. His urgency to kill Sebastian was not out of anger but fear.
He feared that Sebastian might actually cure his elder brother, which would jeopardize his position as heir to the Blancs—a position he had only just secured.
Talon, of course, saw through his intentions. Hence, he would never allow that to happen.
He ordered the elders to stand back, then turned to Sebastian yet his face was now wearing a charming smile. "Mr. Healer, I apologize for the earlier misunderstanding. I hope you won't be offended and can continue my son's treatment."
Sebastian scoffed. "After all the insults, and even attempts to kill me, do you really think I would still agree to treat your son?"
Talon was still smiling as he said, "Mr. Healer, they acted rashly and were in the wrong. I'll have them apologize right away."
Turning to Gaius, Bryn, and the elders, he barked, "What are you waiting for? Apologize to Mr. Healer at once!"
"Sorry," Gaius and Bryn muttered. Both of them were visibly reluctant.
"Fine, no problem," Talon agreed without a second thought.
But this response infuriated Gaius. However, faced with his father's cold gaze, he had no choice but to stifle his anger and kneel before Sebastian while apologizing through gritted teeth.
Sebastian then looked at Bryn. "As for this little brat, she'll need to slap herself ten times."
"What? Absolutely not!" Bryn's face flushed with rage, and her eyes blazed with fury.
"Bryn, just do it for your brother," Talon insisted.
