As the daughter of the Blanc family, Bryn was rarely challenged in Wonderton, or even in the entire Windwalker Kingdom. In her mind, there were few who dared to offend the Blancs.
To her, the healer was merely a doctor—albeit one with some skill—who posed no real threat.
The healer's lips curled into a cold smile. Suddenly, he reached out. Despite being a full pace away, Bryn was pulled toward him as if by an invisible force. In an instant, his hand was around her throat.
Bryn's shock turned to fury. "How dare you! I am the Blanc family's third daughter! If you lay even a single finger on me, the Blancs will tear you to pieces!"
Her injured guards quickly scrambled to their feet, pleading, "Sir, please .show mercy and release Mr. Bryn. If you harm her, you won't live to see the sunrise."
The healer chuckled. "Rest assured, my duty is to heal, not to kill. I don't take lives so easily."
Bryn, who was initially somewhat fearful, sneered at his words. "I knew you wouldn't dare kill me. Now, take your filthy hands off me!"
The healer's expression turned amused. "I wasn't finished. While I won't kill you, there's still punishment to be dealt. Since your parents failed to teach you manners, I'll do it in their place."
"Who do you think you are, trying to teach me a lesson? Let me go, or I'll make sure you'll die without a grave to lie in!" Bryn shouted in anger.
"Get down!" the healer commanded.
With a sudden pull, he forced Bryn to lie across his knee. The healer, who was actually Sebastian in disguise, noted her resistance but pressed forward. He could feel the tension in her posture.
