"Please, invite him in!" Trevor exclaimed excitedly upon hearing that the Blancs' scion had arrived.
Originally, Aime was the heir to the Blanc family, but he was incapacitated over a year ago. Despite numerous efforts from alchemists, there had been no progress in his recovery; he remained unable to speak or move. Consequently, Talon Blanc, the head of the Blanc family, appointed his second son, Gaius Blanc, as the new successor.
Though Gaius' talent was slightly less than Aime's, he was still remarkably gifted.
"Hurry, let him in!"
Upon learning of Gaius' visit, Trevor and his family rushed to the entrance to welcome him. Even though the Berry family was on the verge of a major partnership with the Supreme Merchants Guild, they dared not show any disrespect.
The Blancs were the third-ranked family in Wonderton and a primary owner of Bejeweled Tower. Even if the Berry family regained its former glory, it still wouldn't surpass the Blancs.
"Mr. Gaius, what brings you here?" Fiona greeted him with a fawning smile.
Gaius replied with a pleasant smile, "I came especially to congratulate you on your upcoming partnership with the Supreme Merchants Guild."
"Mr. Gaius, we only just received this news ourselves—how did you find out so quickly?" Trevor asked in surprise.
"Mr. Gaius, could it be that you helped us secure this partnership?" Fiona guessed.
Gaius froze momentarily. The Blancs themselves had been eager to work with the Supreme Merchants Guild; if he'd had the influence to secure such a partnership, he would've arranged it for his own family first.
Nonetheless, Gaius quickly recovered and replied with a smile, "I merely suggested it to the Supreme One, never expecting he'd actually agree. This shows the Supreme One sees great potential in your family."
