Remorse After Breaking Up (Sebastian) novel Chapter 1052

"Scoundrel!"

Sevyn slapped Waylon across the face with a loud smack, making Waylon spin in place. He was almost stunned with confusion.

Delaney and the attendant both stared in shock, not understanding why Sevyn suddenly lost his temper.

Waylon glared at Sebastian, gritting his teeth as he yelled, "It's definitely because of you, you worthless pest! You must've angered Mr. Lovell, and now he's taking it out on me. I won't forgive you for this!"

"Enough!"

There was another smack as Sevyn raised his hand and struck Waylon across the face again. This time it was so hard it left him dazed. His vision was swimming with stars, and Sevyn even knocked a tooth loose.

Waylon was furious, but he didn't dare lash out at Sevyn. He asked pitifully while clutching his cheek, "Mr. Lovell, why did you hit me again? What did I do wrong?"

Delaney and the attendant looked on, equally curious.

"You disrespected Ms. Berry. Don't you think you deserve a beating?" Sevyn demanded sharply.

He had let it go before, but now that Lila was his mentor's wife, it was a whole different story. The fact that this fool Waylon would even think of making her his mistress was outright madness.

And on top of that, to disrespect Sebastian? Sevyn wanted nothing more than to slap him senseless.

"You... you know Lila—er, Ms. Berry?" Waylon asked, feeling unsure now.

Sevyn replied coldly, "I'm warning you. If you so much as think about bothering Ms. Berry again, you'll have to answer to me!"

"I won't. I swear I won't," Waylon promised hastily, feeling utterly wronged.

How was he supposed to know that Lila and Sevyn were connected? If he'd known, he wouldn't have dared, not in a million years. And what he couldn't understand was why Sevyn hadn't reacted when he mentioned it before.

Sevyn, now furious and glaring, said, "This is your final warning. If you dare show disrespect to Mr. Wilder one more time, I'll smash your mouth in!"

"I won't! I swear I won't," Waylon promised quickly, but inside, his hatred for Sebastian grew. He was convinced Sebastian must have talked badly about him behind his back, making Sevyn target him relentlessly.

"Get lost!" Sevyn's bark sent a shiver down Waylon's spine. He scrambled away, practically crawling like a beaten dog.

"Stop right there!" Sebastian suddenly called out, though Waylon didn't show any sign of stopping.

"Didn't you hear Mr. Wilder tell you to stop?" Sevyn roared again.

He was instantly enraged as he stretched out his hand to grab Waylon from 15 feet away and pull him back. The display of skill even impressed Sebastian inwardly.

Then, there was another loud thud.
