As Lazarus' private guard, Chaya's strength grew increasingly unfathomable to Sebastian as her cultivation base recovered.
Though Violet was swift, her skills paled in comparison to Chaya's. She had no idea she was being followed.
Moments later, Violet climbed over a wall and slipped into a rundown courtyard. Inside, she spotted six people dressed in vibrant colors—red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and indigo. They were fellow members of Heptakill.
"Violet, did you complete the mission?" the leader in red, Rufus, inquired.
"No. The mission has failed." She shook her head.
"What?" The others gasped in shock.
She growled out, "The client gave us false information. It turns out that the target was formidable. He injured me with a single blow and held me captive."
"Wait! You were held captive? How did you manage to escape?" Rufus asked anxiously.
Violet hesitated before saying, "That guy is a creep. He let me go because he found me attractive."
He had a bad premonition upon hearing that. "Did that bastard take advantage of you?"
She bristled with anger and shame. Although Sebastian hadn't assaulted her, he had stripped her naked.
"I'm going to kill that bastard!" Rufus seethed.
"Damn it! I'm going with you!" Viridis, clad in green, was equally enraged. After all, Violet was their daughter.
"Wait!" Violet quickly stopped them. "I didn't lose my virginity."
Rufus and Viridis sighed in relief.
"You nearly gave me a heart attack."
"That's not what happened!" She glared at Sebastian and snapped, "You let me go so that you could track me?"
Rufus glared at Sebastian. "Let her go now, or you'll regret it!"
"Chaya, calm them down," Sebastian commanded.
She unleashed her demonic power. Viridis collapsed to the ground, alive but utterly immobilized.
In the blink of an eye, Chaya appeared before another assassin. She delivered a powerful blow that sent him flying. He hit the ground hard and lay motionless. The remaining assassins stared in horror and rushed to retaliate in unison.
Heptakill was the most formidable assassin organization in the Windwalker Kingdom. It consisted of seven members, each of whom was a powerhouse.
Even the weakest, Violet, was a seven-star demigod. The one in indigo, Azure, had reached a nine-star demigod realm, while the blue one, Cyanus, was at the pinnacle of demigod. Viridis and the others were all Lesser Deity Masters.
Rufus was the strongest among them. He was a five-star Lesser Deity Master. When they joined forces, their strength multiplied exponentially.
