Chapter 447 Not working Anymore 

The next second, Jordy came back to himself and looked extremely awkward.

What the hell was he thinking?! 

Why was it all about Gloria White?! 

“Jordy…”

Angela looked apprehensively at Jordy and asked, “What‘s the matter? Shall we go back?”

Later, Jordy would meet Gloria again and they would go discuss business with Lovell. together. It was the last thing Angela wanted for them to be alone. She was really scared now.

Jordy pulled himself together and lifted his eyes to Angela, saying, “Come on. Eat. These are all your favorite dishes, aren‘t they?”

These were indeed all her favorite. But, she was not in the mood! 

Jordy was with her right now but it was Gloria all he was thinking about. How could she possibly enjoy the food? 

After a pause, she let out a sigh and said, “Jordy, you don‘t seem quite yourself lately. Is it because of me…”

She bit her lip and bowed her head slightly, feeling frightened and flustered.

She did not know how to continue the conversation.

But this was the method she always liked to use by playing weak and innocent to get men‘s pity and sympathy.

Jordy‘s eyes flickered as he picked up his fork and said, “Go ahead.”

Angela raised her head and took an incredulous look at him. Usually, he would be patient and talk nicely to her. What was he doing now?

A whole table of her favorite food tasted like hay. Jordy didn‘t even want to talk to her, not even to say some decent words.

Angela looked at him with tears in her eyes. “Jordy, if you don‘t like me, you don‘t have to be resign yourself to do these things for me.”

Jordy frowned, the irritation in his eyes growing stronger.

For a moment, Angela thought her ace card was not working anymore. 

“It‘s finished. May I come over now?” Jordy was cool and calm.

Angela took a deep breath, trying to control her anger and irritation.

“Yes.”

“See you then.” Jordy hung up the phone and looked back at Angela, saying, “I have some business to attend to. Why don‘t you go home without me?”

This time, he had been extremely gentle and thoughtful.

Angela gritted her teeth. No! How could she leave now?! 

Should she just bear with it while Tordy and Gloria hung out together?!

She would not give them that kind of privacy!

She forced a smile on her face and shook her head, saying as if it was for their good, “I‘d better stay with you. After all, this is a public place. If someone finds out that you and Gloria are still together, it will affect both of your reputations. My presence would knock them out of that meaning conjecture!”
