Chapter 446 Used and Ditched! 

 “Don‘t say that. If you were an average person, maybe I would talk to you about everything. But you are anything but average. You are Norma, the elite lawyer. What if the words I say become evidence in your favor, and you turn them against me in the future?”  Gloria did not answer that.  

She smiled bitterly and sighed helplessly after realizing that Lovell would be on guard against her, “It seems that you won‘t buy a word I say anymore.”  

Lovell did not talk in a roundabout way either, “Just tell me what your purpose is. Don‘t worry, I will still buy you dinners as I have promised.”  

Gloria heaved a sigh and said leisurely, “Calm down. Let‘s take our time.” 

 “Girl, you only make it worse.”  Gloria saw that Lovell had run out of patience and that what he said was the truth. She shook her head and said, “I would still talk to you about this plan. If you disagree with it after you hear it, so be it. I will leave you alone. But since you are gonna buy me dinners, I think you have shown your interest and given me the chance, right?”  

Lovell remained silent.  Gloria smiled and continued, “Everyone has their family to support and you have your own cause too. I know you hate changes and new things and wanna focus on your family business. But think about the large market out there to be exploited and the future development.”

 “Angela. I don‘t want to hear you say that again,” threatened Jordy.  Angela‘s heart jolted.  Jordy had never said such cruel word to her before.  Did he…  She took another deep breath. 

A mixture of unspeakable irritability and reluctance filled up her heart. But she did not know what to say under the current situation.  Just while she was torn by the anxiety about how to continue the conversation with Jordy, the waiter knocked on their door.  Angela breathed, smiled and said, “Come in.”  

Jordy remained silent. He was in a really bad mood at the moment.  Gloria didn‘t give out any response, not even caring that Angela was holding his arm.  Humph.  What a heartless woman!  He was used and ditched?!  Jordy tried his best to hold down the raging anger that could explode at any second. His mood went through strong fluctuations these two days, and his employees were terrified that they might offend him by any means.
