Harold pulled up the message and handed his phone to Jordy. 

The message. [Irene, someone pushed me into the water today. I need you to check out Angela and other suspects. Don‘t text me back. I‘ll call you.)

Harold read it and his face changed slightly. “Miss White…”

Is he referring to Gloria or Angela?

Jordy said nothing with a serious, thoughtful face.

Harold stood beside Jordy. The message set his mind racing. Mr. Collins knew I could use a program to retrieve deleted messages, or he wouldn‘t come to me.

Gloria deleted the message, and Mr. Collins just restored it.

Harold‘s thoughts were in riotous disarray. He dared not tell Mr. Collins what he was 

thinking.

Jordy handed Harold the phone and Harold went out.

is he doing?

She looked up at him, too startled to speak.

Jordy looked at her coldly. “You‘re not going anywhere tonight.”

Gloria looked at Jordy in disbelief. “Why?”

“Someone pushed you. Are you sure you‘re going out?”

Gloria looked at Jordy with some surprise, but the next moment it dawned on her that he was doing this to spare Karen any worry. If something happened to Gloria, it would only leave Karen in a state of sadness and her health conditions would worsen.

Otherwise, Jordy would not care if she was out tonight.

He never bothered to say a word to her before.

Gloria thought for a moment and said, “Mr. Collins, please, for Karen‘s sake, get me a new cell phone and a new SIM card.”

Jordy slowly raised his eyes to her with a frown.
