David knew that James had other matters to attend to. However, just as he was about to leave, he suddenly turned around.

"What about… the Sterling family?" David's gaze turned icy, his expression solemn as he spoke.

James fell silent for a brief moment, thinking silently for three seconds. "Forget it. They won't be able to do much in Stonybrook. Just leave them be," he said casually.

"Understood." David nodded, leaving the matter aside.

"Dad, I'll grab a coat for you!" Morgan offered thoughtfully and immediately went to fetch his father a coat.

"He's such a good son, so considerate!" Francis smiled, his face glowing brightly, pleased by his son's thoughtfulness.

Meanwhile, Julia and Anna just watched in silence.

In the past, they would've chimed in with the praises. But now, Morgan's every action seemed like nothing more than posturing!

Seeing Lily and Morgan being so close to each other irked her.

"Me too. That gem isn't really that nice," Julia chimed in to express her stance.

"Same here. I feel nothing for it," Anna shrugged and joined in softly.

The attitude of the trio caught Morgan off guard. He was baffled. In the past, after he said something like that, the three of them would surely echo his sentiments. Why the sudden change?

"Mom, Julia, Anna, it's fine if you don't like the gem. I'll get you all something else in the future! But this gem can truly solve our family's immediate problems! However, I still stand by my words. It belongs to Hayden, so it's better that we just let him have it, right?"
