David was a man with vast experience and had seen all sorts of individuals, but Hayden still managed to surprise him.
The young man was confident and composed and displayed a maturity that was far beyond his years. Those were traits many of his peers wouldn't have. In fact, it was uncommon even among older individuals!
David could tell that Hayden was exceptional!
"Take me to see that person!" he instructed.
Soon afterward, he arrived at a particular location. After a series of relayed messages, he passed through many layers of security and entered a room.
Inside, a figure sat quietly on the couch.
"Mr. Caldwell," David greeted with his head lowered, a lot more humble than before.
"Thank you for the assistance, Mr. Schnapps," James said with a nod, chuckling lightly as he walked up to welcome David.
The gesture shocked David greatly, and he hurried over.
"Did Hayden make it back home?" James asked nonchalantly.
He discreetly sent someone to protect Hayden and was already aware of the trouble he encountered at the emerald store. Thus, he sent David over to handle the matter.
"Yes. I had my men escort him home. Moreover, he was exceptional—articulate, quick-witted, and highly capable! I've never seen a young man like that before! If he were to head to the capital, he would undoubtedly stir up a storm! His future is bright!"
David was full of praise for Hayden.
Hearing that, James was pleased and could not help but smile. He knew Hayden was talented, but hadn't realized just how remarkable he truly was.
David held up five fingers, waving them to emphasize his point.
"That's indeed strange. How did he identify it?" Even James was puzzled, frowning slightly.
"Could he have learned it from some TV shows he likes to watch?" David asked curiously.
"He didn't watch anything like that before." James shook his head, then added, "After going to the Sterling family, I believe he didn't even get the chance to watch TV."
"That's truly a mystery. However, owning such a gem might also be dangerous for him!" David cautioned.
"I know. I'll have to leave this matter in your hands then. Just find an auction house and quickly sell it off!" James instructed with a dismissive wave.
"Not a problem. I'll take my leave, then," David said, standing up, about to leave.
