Reborn From Ashes novel Chapter 166

Hayden and Morgan remained silent as they sat in the car, but they were both smiling confidently.

One had already planned everything, while the other had already seen through the former's schemes. So, the atmosphere between them was strange.

Soon, they arrived at the hotel. The place had already been decorated, and it was bustling with activity.

When Morgan's car appeared, everyone gathered around it excitedly.

"This must be the scion of the Sterling family. What a fine-looking man."

"He isn't just a fine-looking man. I'm sure that he'll also become the backbone of the country."

"He'll have a promising future since he's been admitted to Brighton University at such a young age."

Everyone showered Morgan with compliments, and they all looked very excited. Their words made Francis and the others in the crowd smile and feel extremely proud.

"Everyone, my son didn't put much effort into the exam. There's nothing to brag about. It's just an ordinary test for him," Francis said, but he couldn't suppress his smile.

The people around him exchanged glances. They could tell that he was bragging, but they didn't dare to say anything.

Just then, Morgan got out of the car. He was smiling from ear to ear, looking very proud as he reveled in the attention that he was getting from the people around him.

This was what it was like to be in the spotlight.

"Hello, everyone!" Morgan said as a form of greeting, smiling and nodding at those present.

"Mr. Morgan, you're really handsome and outstanding. I'm sure we'll hear about you often in the business industry in the future," someone complimented him obsequiously.

Francis' expression changed, revealing a hint of disgust when he saw Hayden. He didn't respond, but he became even angrier. He had told Morgan not to let Hayden attend the party, but he had still come.

Although it was Morgan's idea, Francis still found it unpleasant.

Seeing that Francis wasn't going to say anything, Morgan stepped forward to explain, "He's a housekeeper for the Sterling family. He came with me."

Morgan's voice was indifferent, but his gaze was filled with contempt.

He glanced casually at Hayden and saw that he remained expressionless. He didn't even look in his direction. It was as if all of this had nothing to do with him.

Morgan couldn't help but sneer. He thought that Hayden was a loser because he was easily intimidated. It had to be Hayden's first time attending such a grand occasion.

At the thought of this, Morgan felt even more pleased with himself.
