Hayden had to attend the birthday party, so he couldn't accompany Jenny.
"What are you going to do?" Serena asked curiously.
"The Sterling family has sent me an invitation to attend Morgan's birthday party at Skyview Hotel," Hayden answered honestly.
"What?"
Serena and James were shocked, and they exchanged glances.
"Why would they invite you? It's probably a trap," James warned, sensing that something was off.
"I know. Even if it's a trap, I have my reasons to go," Hayden said seriously as he looked at them steadily.
James and Serena looked perplexed, but in the end, they agreed to it. "If that's the case, then you can go. Just be careful."
…
When James and Serena were on the road, they couldn't help but exchange glances and sigh.
"This has messed up our plans. I didn't expect Hayden to go too," Serena said, frowning.
"We'll just have to find another way. We don't have to attend the party, right?" James asked with a helpless shrug.
Initially, they had wanted to cause a scene at the party. After all, James had already planned everything to make the Sterling family pay the price.
But they didn't expect Hayden to be going too. If they crossed paths, Hayden would definitely find out about James' real identity.
"Actually, we can still go. All we have to do is change our purpose. We can have someone else do the work. Then, we just need to protect Hayden," Serena suggested.
"Huh? May I know why?" David blurted out.
"My son, Hayden, will be going too. I don't want to expose my identity in front of him. Do you understand?" James stared at David, enunciating each word clearly.
David suddenly trembled all over, and he nodded repeatedly while smiling apologetically as he said, "Yes, I understand. I won't expose anything."
Meanwhile, a luxury sedan stopped at the entrance of the housing complex. The car was a gift from the Sterling family to Morgan, who was going to attend college soon.
Hayden gave Jenny 100 dollars so that she could buy something to eat. Then, he left the house and walked toward the car.
"Hayden, shall we go?" Morgan smiled wickedly as he gestured with his cold gaze.
"Let's go. I hope your party goes off with a bang," Hayden said meaningfully.
