"Am I right?" Penelope's mocking voice echoed through the phone.

Dominic showed no remorse. "You currently can't stand against William. I'm looking out for you."

"Enough with your hypocrisy. Just let him come after me!"

The call abruptly ended. Dominic stared at the darkening screen, his eyes revealing a hint of infuriation.

His assistant in the front seat interrupted, "Mr. Archer, Lanny has informed us that there's a problem with the project in Lynnwood. They need you to go there personally."

Dominic closed his eyes momentarily. "Understood. Book the earliest flight."

The affairs in Lynnwood held significant importance, so Lenny was stationed there to oversee everything.

The company had recently been swamped with business, seemingly even busier than during Penelope's tenure.

It might be beneficial for this woman to face some challenges. Once she hits rock bottom, she'd extend an olive branch to Penelope and smoothly return to work at Archer Corporation. It would simplify matters greatly.

After ending the call, Penelope glanced over and saw Connor restraining Jack, preventing him from intervening. Once Penelope finished the call, Connor released his grip.

"Why did you stop me? I wanted to defend my little sister against that scum!"

"You itching for a fight again?"

Connor's gaze was warning, making Jack immediately behave.

After concluding the call, Penelope's once somber mood lifted upon witnessing the scene before him. Could he truly stand alone against the world? Behind him were always those steadfast allies, his closest family and friends, who stood by his side.

With them by his side, it felt like the entire world was supporting him.

"Be gentle, second brother. Third brother's arm is still recovering," Penelope chuckled.

"That's right! You struck your own younger brother so forcefully! I'll report this to Big Brother and Grandfather!" Jack exclaimed upon seeing someone opposing him, immediately launching a counterattack.

"I didn't touch that arm of yours," Connor calmly responded, settling down. "If needed, I'll have the family doctor visit and foot the bill."

Jack pulled Penelope aside and said, "Penny, be fair."

"I need some rest; there's so much to handle tomorrow," Penelope quickly excused herself and headed upstairs.

The next morning,

Megan called in a panic.

"Darling! The internet's in chaos!"

"Both 'Penelope's Manipulative Vixen' and 'Penelope's Deceptive Woman' surged to the top of the charts."

The stock market hit, losing several points due to the controversy surrounding the company's CEO appointment.

Jack and Connor soon entered her room, aware of the trending scandal.

"Penelope, are you okay?"

Jack gently caressed her hair.

"Third brother, I'm sorry you got dragged into this mess."

"I can assist in removing all these posts for you, but if we make too big of a move, it'll draw unwanted attention," Connor remarked casually.

"Don't worry, sis. I have plenty of loyal fans; this won't affect us," Jack reassured her.

Connor added, "I can help remove these posts, but it might attract unwanted attention."

"It's alright, second brother. This seems deliberate," Penelope replied, sensing that William's revenge, as Dominic mentioned, was in full swing.

Dominic had warned of retaliatory measures from the entertainment industry.

And it seemed more potent than ever.

"Big brother just called and mentioned that the flight will arrive soon. He advised you to stay home for a few days and avoid going to the office. If there are any matters to attend to, he suggested letting Kevin take care of them in the meantime."
