"Dominic?"
Kyla was unaware of the true relationship between the two in front of her. She only felt that Penelope's presence was somewhat troublesome. "Hurry up and let Ms. Penelope go! My parents are waiting at home, and they really miss you."
A gentle female voice brought Dominic's thoughts back.
Archer's family owed the Mendez family, and for that reason, he should indeed visit the Mendez family.
However, looking at Penelope, there was no trace of any emotion on her face in response to Kyla's words.
It seemed that everything about him and her was no longer relevant.
He felt a lump in his heart, and his expression became cold, gloomy, and complex.
"Your stuff is over there."
Penelope followed the direction indicated by the man's chin and saw her ID card pressed under the water dispenser as if it were being scorned by him, much like how he treated her.
"Thank you." She suppressed all the bitterness in her heart and went straight to pick up her ID card.
Without hesitation, she turned and left.
Behind her, it seemed that there was a sharp and indifferent gaze following her.
From the moment she pushed open the door of the CEO's office, the gazes in the office area all converged.
Some were here to watch the show, some were sympathetic, and more were simply gossiping.
There were even some who said that she was kicked out of the company because she seduced Dominic, so the rightful wife drove her away.
She, who was supposed to be protected by the law as Mrs. Archer, ended up with a fate equivalent to that of a mistress.
Watching Penelope's eyes turn red in the elevator, she finally couldn't hold back her tears. However, she forced herself not to cry. By the time she reached the lobby on the first floor, footsteps approached from behind.
Surprisingly, it was Lance who brought an umbrella for her. "Ms. Penelope, it's raining outside. If you're cold, I can also give you my coat!"
In the face of his attempt to take off his clothes, Penelope stopped him, swallowing the bitterness in her throat. "No need, thank you, Lance. From now on, it's goodbye."
In the cramped back seat, Dominic raised his eyes and looked at the second-floor Western-style building under the lush bushes.
The lights in the bedroom were usually on, but now they were all off.
Constantly reminding him of the departure of that woman.
Kyla sensed the chilling aura emanating from him and thought it was because of her father's words during dinner that made Dominic unhappy. "Dominic, I know that the matter between my sister and Mr. Archer has caused great harm to both sides. We don't have to rush into marriage. You don't need to worry about my father; he's just anxious because I'm pregnant..."
Her words slightly brought Dominic's thoughts back. Glancing at the cuff that had been crumpled by her earlier, he uttered two words, "It's wrinkled."
Kyla subconsciously loosened her grip.
Then, Dominic directly pushed open the door and got out of the car.
Kyla was instantly stunned, watching the man leave with a cold and serious demeanor, unable to understand why he had been allowing her to sit on his lap in the office just now, and now he seemed like a completely different person.
But she couldn't think too much about it. She followed behind Dominic and got out of the car.
