Rebirth In Divorce My New Mr. Perfect (by Summer Knowles) novel Chapter 828

Seeing that he had finally agreed to the exchange, Melvin didn't try to stop him.

The next day at Adams University.

“Miss Sanders, there's trouble! You need to come to the cafeteria across from campus right away. A student is causing a scene, says they're your patient." The woman on the phone sounded urgent and hung up immediately, giving Sarah no chance to ask questions.

Another colleague in the office saw Sarah freeze and said considerately, “Miss Sanders, should I come with you? If it really is your patient saying things in public, it could hurt your reputation."

Sarah took off her blue-light glasses and shook her head. "That's not what matters. I'm worried the student has been triggered by something."

With that, she grabbed her bag to leave, telling her colleague, "Don't come—someone needs to stay in the office."

Sarah rushed there, but it wasn't as serious as the phone call had made it sound.

She walked in suspiciously, looking around at the peaceful atmosphere, then approached the counter. "Excuse me, was there someone causing trouble in your shop earlier?"

The staff member at the counter looked her up and down, then asked instead of answering, "Are you Miss Sanders?”

Sarah nodded without suspicion.

The staff member's face suddenly broke into a smile. They hurried out from behind the counter and grabbed her hand warmly. "You're finally here! We've restrained the kid, but he won't communicate or contact his family. We had no choice but to call you."

Blinded by concern, Sarah's mind was entirely focused on her patient, causing her to miss the holes in the staff member's story.

"Where is he?"

The staff member pointed toward the back of the cafeteria. "Follow me—the kid's in a private room."

After turning several corners, Sarah followed the staff member to the largest private room at the very back, which looked like it could seat dozens of people.

This whole thing had been full of holes from the start.

If one of her patients had really had an incident and been triggered, they wouldn't think to contact her. Besides, how could a staff member possibly have her direct number?

Leon saw that Sarah was quite angry. He calmly poured a cup of tea and gestured like a gentleman for her to sit. "If I didn't do this, you definitely wouldn't come out to see me. Why don't you sit down and rest a bit, have some tea to calm down."

Sarah didn't want to waste another word on him, her voice unusually cold. "I'm very busy. If Mr. Spencer really has nothing to do, he could go do something meaningful."

With that, she turned to leave.

Leon said unhurriedly, "Miss Sanders, I know you find it annoying when I seek you out. If you can just stay with me for a while today, I promise I'll never disturb your life again."

Sarah didn't want to believe him, but she was somewhat tempted. She turned around and asked, "Can I really trust what you're saying?"
