Rebirth In Divorce My New Mr. Perfect (by Summer Knowles) novel Chapter 792

"Is it expensive?"

"Expensive?" Melvin smiled lightly. "It goes beyond expensive. You can't measure this gown's value with money. To provoke Vivian, Zachary is really going all out."

What he didn't say out loud was that Zachary's motives probably weren't just about provoking Vivian—he wanted to see Sarah in this dress.

Sarah stopped looking at the dress and curiously asked Melvin, “You're home from work quite early today?"

Melvin shook his head and placed a box in front of Sarah. "Just picked this up. I couldn't wait to bring it to you."

"What is it?"

"Open it and see."

Before opening it, Sarah had already guessed what it was. Such exquisite packaging could only contain jewelry.

Blue diamonds had always been precious and luxurious jewelry. The most famous blue diamond was the Heart of the Ocean.

And this one, though only a replica of the Heart of the Ocean, was already dazzling enough.

"I had this custom-made a month ago and just got it today," Melvin said, taking out the diamond necklace and holding it up to Sarah's neck. "Wear it tomorrow."

"Alright." Sarah nodded with a smile.

On the day of the party, the makeup artist arrived at three in the afternoon and spent a full two hours on her makeup.

When Zachary came to pick her up, she had just finished with makeup but hadn't put on her jewelry yet.

She took out the necklace Melvin had brought back yesterday and was about to put it on when she saw Zachary approach and take the necklace from her. "Let me help you with that."

She didn't resist, gathering her hair up and tilting her neck toward Zachary.

Steven chuckled. "A chef who can't be a good driver isn't a real chef. My boss likes exploiting the working class. Having a chef as a driver is such a waste of talent, right? Ms. Sanders, you should tell the boss to give me a raise! You'd be helping me and Scarlett have a better life!"

Hearing this, Sarah couldn't help but laugh. It was hard to imagine that this smooth-talking chef was the executor of Zachary's ruthless methods.

"Alright, Mr. Reynolds, did you hear that? He's using my best friend as leverage—I can't stay silent about this."

Zachary didn't answer but suddenly leaned over to fasten her seatbelt. "Whatever you say goes."

Sarah, who had been ready to continue the banter, was now completely speechless. Her cheeks flushed red, though fortunately Zachary returned to his seat after fastening the seatbelt.

Steven chuckled quietly. "Never thought I'd see the boss like this."

"If you don't focus on driving, you can forget about your next vacation," Zachary said softly.
