Rebirth In Divorce My New Mr. Perfect (by Summer Knowles) novel Chapter 750

He asked uncertainly, “Zachary, are we really terminating the contract with Vista International?”

Zachary nodded. "It's necessary."

Necessary? Then why had he agreed to sign the three-party contract in the first place?

Could it be that Zachary had been planning his moves since then?

Steven stopped asking questions. When Zachary made a decision, his job was simply to agree.

Besides, the Wilson family was his enemy too.

Zachary noticed the disappointment in his eyes and knew the reason without having to ask.

"Not the Petersons?”

Steven shook his head. "The trail went cold again."

"Try a different approach. Perhaps we've been stuck in one way of thinking," Zachary said seriously.

“Zachary, do you think I'll ever get my revenge?" A flash of uncertainty crossed Steven's eyes.

Zachary set aside his work and looked intently at Steven, speaking softly, "Have you forgotten what you told me when I was lost?"

"Why worry about a cold trail? It only means this path was wrong. So what if it was wrong? It means we can turn back and find a new path. We should be glad to eliminate wrong options. As long as you don't forget what drives you, you'll always have a chance."

The confident words of his younger self seemed like only yesterday. Steven hadn't expected Zachary to suddenly bring up that conversation.

He smiled, a self-mocking smile. These were words he had once said to Zachary, yet somehow he had forgotten them himself.

"I understand, Zachary.”

Bang!

The private room seemed to lose power, the last bit of light vanishing. Judy grabbed her bag in terror, ready to dash for the door.

But when she tried to open it, she found it was firmly locked.

She remembered what Sarah had said before leaving, and her fear grew.

"Yvonne, blame the right person. If you want revenge, it wasn't me. I even helped you—you can't be so ungrateful." She muttered.

The dark figure continued eating steak unhurriedly. Judy couldn't take it anymore.

"Stop scaring me! It really wasn't me. Your enemy is Vivian Wilson—it's her, not me!"

With a click, the lights came back on.

Sarah walked in, waving her phone. "I heard everything you just said."

Judy looked again at the figure—it was just a mannequin.

She stared wide-eyed. "You did this on purpose! You're trying to frame me! I don't even know you."

"It doesn't matter if you know me or not. I recorded everything you just said." Sarah smiled, holding up her phone.
