Ready to Rule: The Real Heiress Strikes Back novel Chapter 935

“Is Lydia still here?”

Lydia turned, barely interested. “What’s up?”

“Lydia, the math department still hasn’t solved the last problem. The judges want to invite you over. If you can crack it, you’ll be a great example for everyone.”

Lydia didn’t bother hiding her annoyance. “I’m busy.”

The professor’s voice softened, trying to persuade her. “Lydia, everyone’s counting on you. Just come take a look. It’s fine if you can’t solve it.”

“Not interested.”

The math professor looked helpless. Spotting Kevin nearby, he rushed over, asking for help and even dropping the Capital College president’s name for extra persuasion. Kevin finally stood up and walked over to Lydia and Daisy.

“Come on, since Capital College is asking, why not check it out? Show them what you can do.”

Lydia’s face stayed cool, even a little bored. “If you’re so curious, why don’t you go?”

Kevin shrugged. “What, me? They want you, not me. If you don’t go, people will say you’re scared.”

Lydia’s eyes narrowed a little.

The math professor’s frustration made him blurt out, “Lydia, if nobody in our math department can solve it, people will laugh at us. The other countries will think we have no talent.”

Lydia raised an eyebrow. “Isn’t Lucinda supposed to be the genius around here?”

The professor sighed. “She probably didn’t even get halfway. She said she did, but she won’t show her work to the judges. I’m guessing she’s stuck.”

Lydia let out a short laugh. “Fine, I’ll go.”

The math teacher’s face lit up in relief. “Thank you, Lydia. Let’s head over now.”

What is this? What did Lydia do to her? How could she actually freeze someone like that? How was that even possible? People only did that in movies, right?

Kevin, watching from the sidelines, cleared his throat and looked away. “Well, this is between you two. I won’t get involved. Lydia, you should head over to the math department. I’m heading back to school.”

Lydia nodded. “Okay.”

The math professor was so stunned by Lydia’s move that he just stood there, shivering a little.

Seriously, she’s terrifying.

“Professor?”

Lydia’s voice snapped him back to reality. He answered quickly, “Yes, I’m here.”

He cleared his throat, still a little awkward. “Lydia, I’ll take you there now.”
