Emily looked slightly surprised.
For some reason, her sight turned away from the diamond ring and subconsciously to the window.
Through the transparent window glass, she saw white clouds floating in the blue sky. But her mind was blank. The sky was so bright that she only saw sunlight...
Feeling confused, Calvin asked, "Emily, what's 911
"Nothing!" Emily shook her head and stretched out her right hand to him, "Calvin, thank you. The diamond ring looks very beautiful!"
Hearing that, Calvin was very happy and put the ring on her finger.
Holding Emily's hand gently, he continued in a gentle voice, "Emily, I will arrange a schedule for the next two days. The last meeting did not succeed. This time, I've decided to visit your aunt in the town to decide the date of the wedding!"
"Okay!" Emily agreed.
On the evening of the next day, Emily went to the private hospital.
Although she didn't want to go there, she needed to come to visit Tina. Besides, she couldn't be relieved if she didn't see her in person. Then she took the elevator to the floor of obstetrics and gynecology.
The VIP wards were very spacious. If it weren't for the hospital bed and the medical equipment, Emily would mistake it for a hotel suite.
There was a small living room at the front, a hospital bed, and an independent bathroom. The smell of disinfectant in the air was light. On the windowsill, there was a row of flowers.
"It's not that serious!"
Tina sat on the bed in a hospital gown, looking ruddy, and complained, "I was accidentally tripped over by my shoelaces when I went out, but I reacted very quickly and didn't get hurt. Wilson made a big fuss! I have to come to the hospital and stay for three days before I can go back. It's overbearing!"
"Wilson is very concerned about you!" Emily laughed.
"Yeah, I know!" Tina looked a little shy.
Someone pushed open the door of the ward at this time. Both Emily and Tina looked over, thinking that it was a nurse coming in. However, it was Simon dressed in a white gown.
Seeing that, Emily turned her eyes away.
With one hand in his pocket and a stethoscope around his neck, Simon walked to the bedside and asked, "Tina, how are you feeling?"
"I am good!" Tina smiled and said, "The nurse came to take the injection for me in the afternoon. She said that there was no need to have an IV in the evening. I just need to rest more. I don't feel ill!"
Simon raised his eyebrows and asked, "Where is Wilson?"
"He is having a meeting now!" Tina replied.
After Simon came in, he stood at the end of the hospital bed. While chatting with Tina, he gradually moved his feet, and inadvertently moved to Emily.
Because of the light, Simon's figure was tall and straight. His shadow completely covered Emily.
Simon was so close to Emily that she could smell his scent. She said, "Tina, I'll wash some fruit for you!"
Then Emily turned around and kept a distance from Simon.
With the fruit and the plate in her hand, she went straight into the bathroom.
Emily turned on the tap, put the apples under the water, and started to wash them carefully to kill the time when she was waiting for Simon to leave.
When she heard footsteps behind her, she realized that she should have locked the door.
The diamond ring fell from between his fingers straight into the toilet.
Drop!
As the diamond ring fell to the surface of the water, it made a sound of a splash.
Emily's eyes widened in shock. She knew that Simon wasn't up to something good. Clenching her teeth, she roared, "Simon, what have you done!"
She walked up quickly and looked at the diamond ring that had fallen into the toilet, lying quietly in the toilet hole, still reflecting bright light.
Emily bent over and wanted to reach out to pick up the diamond ring.
However, just as her hand was about to touch the water, there was a sudden sound of flushing water with a large amount of water gushing out from the toilet. It was too late to stop Simon. The diamond ring was flushed away with the water!
Simon said with his hand was still on the water flush button, "Oops, now it's gone!"
"Simon Chin!" Emily burst out.
She watched as the diamond ring was thrown into the toilet and flushed away. Now she couldn't find it back. It would be like looking for a needle in a bundle of hay!
"Emily, did you forget what I said?" Simon's face had also turned cold and sinister.
"Are you done or not?" Emily gritted her teeth, feeling outrageous, "Simon, what right do you have to throw my diamond ring? What right do you have to interfere with my life? You're just my ex-husband now. It has nothing to do with you if I want to marry anyone. Do you understand? Whether you agree or not, you can't change my decision!"
Simon stepped forward and raised an arm to put her against the tile.
Looking evil and gloomy, he said at her face, "I once wanted to start a new life again. But it turned out that I am not over it! So, Emily, I'll tell you again one last time, you want to marry that stinky soldier? It would never happen!"
