After a short silence, Zivon replied, “…I’ve reviewed the paperwork you handed me last night, and I came over to tell you that the project is ready to be kickstarted. That aside, what’s with that expression? Did I interrupt something?”
Though Keith would’ve jokingly denied it in the past, this time, he chose to say, “Just a bit. You should know that Xavia and I were having a… little moment of ours…”
…A little moment?! Beneath the mask, Zivon’s face had contorted into an expression of pure fury. Even his veins on his arm—that was holding onto the documents—were extremely visible now! Tossing the files toward Keith, he then growled, “Fall in love at home, not in the office!”
Following that, Zivon turned around and left with great strides… With how quickly he had walked off, it was clear that Zivon was truly pissed this time. He was like a walking thunderstorm waiting to erupt!
Even so, Keith simply adjusted his spectacles. After all, he already knew that getting involved with Xavia meant playing with fire…
As for Nathan—who had been waiting by the door—, he couldn’t help but tremble in fear when he saw his terrifying boss. Zivon was already in a bad mood after listening to the gossip of the receptionists back in the office. Now that he had witnessed Xavia and Keith being all intimate, Nathan knew that the day was going to be unsalvageable.
Nothing would be able to warm the frigidness emanating from Zivon’s body! So much for planning to have a slow and easy day…
Shaking the thought off, Nathan then quickly caught up to Zivon while saying, “Please don’t forget to put your safety helmet on, Young Master Burton…!”
Zivon hadn’t just come over to pass the documents over to Keith, nor was it solely just for Xavia’s sake. His main reason for coming here was to examine the construction progress. After all, everything had to be error-free before they could officially begin construction. Zivon, for one, had been extremely particular about managing his projects ever since the previous collapse incident…
Speaking of that incident, Zivon couldn’t help but think about it as he walked on. Thoughts about the collapse also made him recall the moment when Xavia had come to him in the middle of the night with Maison in her hands. Naturally, he remembered their kiss in the hotel as well.
At the time, though she had resisted him, she was mostly still shy and nervous. However, the Xavia last night hated him so much that she wasn’t against tearing his limbs off. What had prompted such drastic changes…?
Regardless, since Zivon still hadn’t worn his helmet, Nathan was prompted to repeat, “Young Master Burton, your helmet…”
Following a gulp, Nathan then meekly replied, “…Well, you got busy with taking care of the old lady while also focusing on work… Nothing unusual really took place… Though… I do remember you asking Miss Lockhart to clean up after you… But she wouldn’t grow to hate you because of that, right…?”
Zivon himself simply scoffed, “Isn’t cleaning her thing?”
‘Besides, she only did that to see Maison. In fact, I only requested that just so she could spend more time with the boy…’ Zivon thought to himself.
After thinking for a bit, Nathan then replied, “…Well… it’s… not exactly the same anymore… While it was right for her to take care of the Little Master before this, you have to remember that she’s the Third Young Lady now… What more, she’s also dating Young Master Keith. With that said, maybe she felt that you were stomping on her self-esteem when you told her to clean up like a servant again…”
This left Zivon momentarily speechless. Was she really treating him like an enemy now just because of that trivial incident…?
